Hair Design

Throughout our lifetime we go through many hair designs. When we were younger our hair styles were usually chosen by our parents. We didnt really get to have much say until we were much older. Then we wanted to look like our favorite celebrities and idols, so we would try it out for a while until we fell in love with another hair design. We probably dont change hair styles now like we did then, but you have to admit, its a nice change once in awhile to try a new hair design. All of us have been at this point at one time or another. We get stuck in a rut and just need a change, and it usually starts with our hair design.

When you want a new hair design and just arent sure where to start, make an appointment with a talented hair stylist. Take a few pictures with you of hair styles that you like, and go to your appointment a little early if you want to check out the hair design books and magazines at the salon. You should have a pretty good idea of what you want by the time of your appointment. Ask your hair stylist any questions you may have and go for it! If you have decided on a color and perm, or highlights, make sure to book enough time for your appointment. Most salons need at least an hour to do a color, cut, and style, or a perm, cut, and style. If youre not sure what you want, tell the receptionist, and they will book extra time for you.

There are so many different things you can do with your hair so how do you know you are going to like the hair design you chose? There are several websites you can visit that have hair design ideas for various facial shapes and hair/eye/skin colors. One is Visual Makeover at www.visual-makeover.com that has suggestions for hair care tips, styling tips, and how to find hair designs that are right for you. Another great site is Hair Styles at www.hair-styles.org, which has tons of pictures to check out of very short, short, medium, and long hair, as well as updos, bridal styles, and mens hair designs. This site will give you lots of ideas if you are not quite sure what you want to do with your hair. You could go funky too, and get a hair design no one else has! Hair designs are individual and unique, and represent our own personal tastes and style. Express yourself, be pampered, and have fun!
